Adesso Bistro and A Loving Spoonsful Collaborate

Adesso Bistro proprietors Carol Gadsby and Luciano Loi invite guests to dine out for an important cause, January 24 to February 6. The charming West End restaurant known for its Ligurian delicacies has partnered with the charity A Loving Spoonful who provide nutritious meals to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.

“We are pleased to announce the A Loving Spoonful menu and to facilitate the contribution of $5 from every Adesso prix-fixe meal ordered which will support the non-profit society so they can continue to provide free, nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS,” says Gadsby. “A nurturing spirit and recognition of the importance of food – for sustenance, community and personal connections – tie our restaurant and their mission. It is a wonderful fit. And we believe our guests will embrace this opportunity to donate through a special Adesso dinner created to raise awareness and funds for the cause.”

The A Loving Spoonful menu is $33 per person, excluding taxes and gratuity. Prime your appetite with two starter options: House-made Potato and Prosciutto Gnocchi or Baccala-filled Raviolini. Secondi selections include: a roasted 9-oz Veal Chop or Seared Scallops with Chickpea Fritelle. End the meal on a sweet note with a Chocolate and Amaretti Bonet drizzled with Caramel Sauce.

Dine at Adesso and make a difference.

A Loving Spoonful appreciates the synergy and efforts of Vancouver small businesses like Adesso,” says Lisa Martella, Executive Director. “Our organization is volunteer driven and relies on generous public support. Every dollar makes a difference for those affected by HIV/AIDS. Events like this enable us to provide food to those most vulnerable in our community. Since 1989, we have proudly served over 1.75 million meals to those affected by HIV/AIDS.”
