Adesso Bistro Debuts Autumnal Menu and Announces Enticing Perks for Twilight Diners

Ligurian-inspired cuisine in the heart of the West End rises to the season with house-made meals from local harvests.

Fresh on the heels of a successful first summer in its new West End location, Adesso Bistro unveiled a brand new dinner menu this week, just in time for autumn’s arrival. In addition, ‘Neighbourhood Nights’ and bookings made through the online reservation service, OpenTable, offer unbeatable dining deals to guests visiting in the early evening hours.

The restaurant’s cuisine – inspired by Italy’s Liguria region, known for pesto, focaccia, and seafood fare – makes an effortless seasonal switch to heartier fare. Nestled in the West End, Adesso’s location offers primo viewing of vibrant fall foliage and in the cozy garden-level space, guests can ward off autumn’s chill with warm and inviting multi-course meals.

From the ‘Stuzzicchini’ (light bites and antipasto) menu, sample dishes such as Suppli (crisp croquettes of risotto, prosciutto and mozzarella over sweet pepperonata) and Pizza Tartufo (black truffle fonduta, new potatoes, onions and house-made unsmoked bacon). Enticing entrées include Braised Lamb Shanks served with artichokes and white beans, Roasted Sablefish marinated in marsala, and Cornish Hen with chestnuts and black truffles. Pasta, from Tagliatelle to Pansotti, is complemented with a variety of tasty accompaniments, from Berkshire pork to wild mushrooms, fresh seafood to sage butter.

“Seasonality plays a huge role in our food philosophy here at Adesso,” says Executive Chef Sean Sylvestre. “As our namesake literally translates into ‘Now‘ in Italian, we are always looking to feature ingredients that are in-season and at their peak, flavour-wise.”

Linger over for dessert by Pastry Chef Jason Pitschke, who showcases delicacies such as Monte Bianco (chestnuts, mousse, cocoa meringue, vanilla ice cream), braised apples in caramel with sorbet, and poached pears in maple topped with ginger ice cream.
