Air Canada enRoute Film Festival 2015 Screening

Stop by the Vancity Theatre for a free film screening at the 2015 Air Canada enRoute Film Festival.  Hosted by eTalk’s Liz Trinnear, the night will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:30pm, followed by an 8:00pm screening of 20 selected shorts from Canada’s brightest young filmmakers. Make sure to arrive early, as space is limited!

The Air Canada enRoute Film Festival announced it will showcase emerging Canadian short film talent on Air Canada flights around the world from August 1 to December 31, 2015. All 20 selected shorts will be announced at a free public screening and cocktail at Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour St.) in downtown Vancouver on Thursday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. PT. The event will be hosted by eTalk’s Liz Trinnear.

Millions of Air Canada passengers will be able to view the selected short films on their personal seatback in-flight entertainment system and online at enRoutefilm.com. Passengers and movie lovers alike will have the chance to vote for their favourite film to win the People’s Choice Award. Voting will start in August on enRoutefilm.com and run until October 31st.

Once again this year, a star-studded jury will select the winners, who will each receive an all-inclusive trip for two to the Berlin International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany, courtesy of Air Canada. The winner of Best Short Film will also receive $5,000 courtesy of presenting sponsor, Cineplex.

All of the films will compete to win prizes for Best Short Film, Achievement in Direction, Achievement in Cinematography, Achievement in Animation, and Achievement in Documentary.

Free public screenings will be held in Montreal on Monday November 2, 2015 and in Toronto on Wednesday, November 4. Following the Toronto screening, prizes will be presented at an invitation-only awards celebration.
