‘Know Your Neighbours’  – Tuesday, July 26, 6:30pm

Spend the evening at Beachside Forno for another fun, food and wine-fuelled evening.   The second in a series of summer wine evenings designed and led by Vancouver’s affable and charming wine luminary, Kurtis Kolt, Beachside invites you to get to “know your neighbours.”

On Tuesday, July 26, at 6:30 pm, guests are invited to join us for a 5-course dinner paired to the wines of our talented North Shore neighbours.  Featuring Haywire Winery, Tantalus Vineyards and Painted Rock Vineyards,  get to know a few of the proprietors that are putting BC wines on the map.

“All this wine talent in Beachside’s own backyard,” says Kolt.  “Some exceptional winery owners and industry leaders live right here on the North Shore – definitely something worth celebrating.”

An accomplished and well-respected wine educator, consultant and judge, Kolt has a brand new wine column in the Westender and is a contributing writer to Wine Access magazine.  Recent career recognition includes being named “Sommelier of the Year” by both the 2010 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival and Vancouver magazine, and being included as one of Western Canada’s “Top 40 Foodies Under 40” by Western Living magazine.

Tickets for this one-of-a-kind wine dinner are $65 per person and include all wine pairings (tax & gratuity not included). Purchase tickets in advance by dropping into Beachside Forno or by calling 604.926.3332.

Mark your calendar for the final summer wine evening led by Kolt.  On Tuesday, August 30, get a crash course in the finer points of “Old World vs. New World” in a more traditional sit-down dinner format.  All events will offer a taste of the unexpected and, of course, a good time!

Beachside Forno is a fun and friendly casual dining experience in West Vancouver’s Ambleside neighbourhood that capitalizes on the unbeatable seaside location and the talented chef’s local, regional and sustainable sensibilities.  A longt ime Ambleside neighbourhood favourite, Beachside Forno is an ideal spot for a romantic cocktail, friendly lunch, gatherings for family and friends and, of course, to watch the sunset from the seasonal patio.
