barn burnerMarch 23 and 24 – 2nd Annual Big Red Barn Burner BBQ Competition, the newest and tastiest addition to the 11th Annual Yard, Garden and Renovation Show, the Fraser Valley’s premiere spring event.

Top BBQ cooks from all over Canada and the USA will compete in 4 traditional BBQ categories: Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, and Ribs. Many teams will compete for cash & prizes. The winner will leave with cash, a fancy trophy, and of course bragging rights for being the first winner of BC’s best new BBQ competition. The winner will also have the chance to be invited to participate in the “Super Bowl of BBQ” – Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, TN!

Angie Quaale

Stage Presentations by Angie Quaale – BC’s Queen of BBQ
Angie Quaale, founder of Well Seasoned Gourmet Foods Inc., is a well know BBQ and culinary expert who has competed in more than 75 international BBQ competitions including 3 times at the Jack Daniels World Invitational BBQ Competition in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Angie is passionate about all food and the people who make it but BBQ is her life.

In 2011 she was named the Canadian BBQ Champion and is the only female BBQ pitmaster from BC. She is also the first head-judge to be certified by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association in Canada. Angie is the recipient of many awards including the New Business of the Year, and Small Business of the Year awards from the Langley Chamber of Commerce. Her newspaper column runs regularly in the Langley Times.
