Hotel Bellwether – Best Luxury Hotel by King 5
Hotel Bellwether, a European-style waterfront hotel located on Bellingham Bay, has been announced Best Luxury Hotel in KING5’s 2010 Best of Northwest Escapes. The Best of Northwest Escapes contest features more than 1,000 nominees for the top destinations in the northwest. Winners are selected by popular vote through the online contest. The Hotel Bellwether took the title for Best Luxury Hotel, beating 11 nominees in the category.
To observe its victory, the hotel will feature the Soiree on the Bay overnight package and a Gold Medal Martini at the Harborside Bistro:
• Soiree on the Bay includes one night accommodations in a guestroom overlooking Bellingham Bay or the Bellwether on the Bay Plaza, bottle of Charmeroy Brut and two house-made cupcakes.
• The Harborside Bistro will serve up a Gold Medal Martini, made with Absolut Vodka, Grand Marnier and Goldschläger for $6.50.

The Best of Northwest Escapes is hosted by Seattle’s local NBC affiliate, KING5. Voting took place online between March 15 – April 11, 2010 and winners were announced on Monday, April 26, 2010. Well the Olympics have come and gone and it was an exciting time right up to the last few seconds of the Gold Medal Hockey Game. We had a great time here as Entertainment Tonight stayed with us along with some Olympic Torch Bearers. A once in a lifetime event.
