On Saturday, April 14th Annika Reinhardtof Vancouver’s Social Bites has organized another sweet event aimed at those who prefer their dessert first.  Featuring some of Vancouver’s best up-and-coming pastry makers, Indulge n’ Dance combines dessert samples with socializing and finally dancing if the mood strikes you (or you happen to have a sugar high that needs to be burned off).

Held at W2 Media Cafe and Performance Centre at the Woodward’s Building in Gastown, Indulge n’ Dance starts at 8:30 pm, with dancing starting at 10:30 pm until late with music is provided by Girls on Wax.  Tickets are $18 and include one full size dessert from one of the pastry makers and dessert samples from W2 Media Cafe Chef Karen McAthy and a coffee beverage.  Additional tickets for three additional full size treats are $6.

Reinhardt has sourced out some excellent local bakers that she discovered through the Bakers Market and through food savvy friends and her aim is to help promote these businesses. Rather than charging them to attend, she asks them to contribute their wares to the event, and in exchange receive solid business advice.  Reinhardt is a marketing consultant and guides the bakers in their development of marketing plans, advises them on websites and social media platforms and provides network opportunities for these woman (as they all happen to be).  They also receive discounts on her other events, which include social brunches with hobby chefs in their own homes.  It’s a win-win situation for attendees and bakers alike, translating into one great evening for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The bakers are listed below and you can also vote ahead of time on the dessert with the best presentation. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.317733978282203.76581.299090760146525&type=3
