Elephant Island In The Middle Of Gastown!

Salt Tasting Room is excited to present an upcoming event with BC’s own Elephant Island Orchard Wines in their Salt Cellar on Tuesday, July 21st at 7:00p.m.  Located in the highly prized growing region of the Naramata Bench, Elephant Island’s dynamic range of wines have changed many people’s perception of how good fruit wine can be; they are all well balanced and accurately represent the fruit they are crafted from. Some favourites of theirs include the beautiful Crab Apple wine, a rich and succulent Port made from Stella Cherries, lovely crafted bubbles, and expressive wines made from pears, black currents, cherries and apricots.

Elephant Island’s owners, Del and Miranda, will be on hand to share stories and guide everyone through a tasting of 6 wines paired up with tasting plates of locally produced charcuterie and artisan cheeses from around the world.

This event will take place along the backdrop of Salt Cellar’s 1000–bottle wine cooler, in an intimate setting that will include dozens of hand-crafted charcuterie from local producers such as J, N & Z Deli, Moccia’s, and Oyama Sausage Company, along with artisan cheeses from Neal’s Yard (UK), Italy, Spain, and British Columbia.

Tickets are only $50, which includes all food, wines, taxes and gratuity.
