Before Swiss-born Rodolfe and Auguste Lindt started working with chocolate, if you wanted to sample the delicious treat in Switzerland, you had to chew it as it was very hard. The Lindt’s discovered that conching, the process of stirring the beans for days, was the real secret to the smooth chocolate that we are used to enjoying today. Since then, Switzerland, and Lindt, have been known for their entrepreneurial spirit and their devotion to crafting quality chocolate.
Lindt is now bringing their chocolates direct to Vancouver with their newest café and chocolate shop at 455 Howe Street and we couldn’t be more pleased. I love love love the Dark Chocolate Peppermint that come out at Christmas. So good.
Um. Favourite? All of it. ALL of their CHOCOLATE. I still remember when I first tasted it. They would give us a box of three back in the day when we would get gas at the local Husky station. It was the red one. I was hooked.
