One of my favourite things to do in the Okanagan is wine tasting and going to the farm stands to get the freshest fruit around! The best is getting the fresh cherries straight from the farm. There are so many amazing wineries in the area and with my sweet tooth, I love the ice wines and dessert wines 🙂

Ah,The Okanagan! It has so much to offer so hard to choose any one thing to do there. The wineries and culinary experiences are delightful and keep drawing me back there. The added pleasure of the beautiful scenery while traveling the areas and being able to buy fresh fruits and products and just drive down to a beach for a quick snack is a bonus. Skiing or any preferred winter sport is really just minutes away; who could ask for anything more? Many a memory has been made here for me and draws me and the family back as often as possible.

My favourtie activity in the Okanagan is participating in wine tours, especially around the Oliver/Osoyoos regions. I love touring with friends, meeting the nice wine makers, and learning more about wine in general. One of my favourite spots is for lunch at Tinhorn Creek. You can buy a bottle of your favourite wine (mine is the Gewurztraminer) and sit on the outside patio OR directly in the vineyard for lunch- both stunning spots! They have all sorts of cheeses, meats and baguette. Thats where I am happy in the summer!
