For Greeks roasting pork is a tradition and in fact the original souvlakia was made from pork. Whenever there is a carnival or festival, Greeks roast whole pigs on rotisseries.

The meat is served with tomato, feta, salt and pepper and paired with a European lager to wash it down.
November 28th the tradition comes to Kitsilano at Simpatico at 2222 West 4th!  Simpatico Greek Restaurant will be cooking it slowly throughout the day and it will be ready for dinner. $17 –  OPA!
