High-Concept Design Meets Haute Cuisine at Monogram® Dinner by Design

on

DxD_Kelly DeckPresented by GE Monogram® and The Social Concierge, in partnership with IDSwest, Monogram® Dinner by Design is where Vancouver’s twin touchstones of culinary and design culture converge for two tasty and tasteful nights on September 21 – 22, 2014, to benefit the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Monogram® Dinner by Design will give 20 nationally and internationally acclaimed interior designers a 12×12 foot space and free rein to create imaginative and extraordinary tablescapes, each telling a personal design story that will serve as the backdrop for these two magical events.

Some of this year’s participating designers include Western Living Magazine’s Robert Ledingham Memorial Award-winner Sophie Burke, Robert Quinnell and David Keeler, owners of iconic Vancouver housewares store Provide, and BYU’s award-winning designer Nicole Gomes.

“In one year, Monogram Dinner by Design has doubled in size and I’m thrilled to see Vancouver’s top design talent come together to showcase their unique designs while supporting the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation,” said Philippe Meyersohn, GM Marketing for GE Monogram.

On Sunday, September 21, upwards of 400 people will gather at Cocktail Art!, a party to enjoy hors d’oeuvre from Culinary Capers Catering and Special Events and designer molecular mixology concocted by Absolut Brand Ambassador Jacob Sweetapple, served from behind two spectacular designer bars.

Monogram® Dinner by Design takes place the following night, Monday, September 22, and will see 150 guests take their assigned seats at one of the event’s 20 designer tablescapes for a sumptuous multi-course Culinary Capers feast complete with wine and bubble pairings.

Those wishing to view the remarkable and unfettered creations of some of Canada’s top designers may also take part in the public viewing on the afternoon of Monday, September 22 from noon to 5 p.m. or wait until all 20 tablescapes take pride of place at IDSwest from Thursday Sept. 25 through Sunday Sept. 28 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
