WHEN: Thursday, July 3 @ 7:30 pm
WHERE: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, 578 Carrall St. Vancouver

Mingle with special guests, imbibe fine sips and nibbles, and experience Indian Summer magic as you explore one of the city’s most exquisite gardens.

Vancouver’s gastronomic guru Vikram Vij curates a foodie tour of Asia, presenting culinary delights from India to China to Japan, all created by the city’s top restaurants (Blue Water Cafe, Bob Likes Thai Food, Bao Bei, Atithi, Cafe Kathmandu and Vij’s), paired with fine beverages including award-winning wines and signature cocktails.

Emceeing the meteorological phenomenon that is Indian Summer will be CBC News Vancouver meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

Look out for impromptu live performances by a cast of internationally acclaimed writers, poets and musicians, as they give you a taste of what the rest of festival holds. Whether it is the sounds of the Barbat (Persian lute) in the garden’s ‘Colourful and Cloudy Pavilion’ or a recital of Rumi’s poetry in the ‘Scholar’s Courtyard’, or the strains of the sitar in ‘Hall of One Hundred Rivers’, a delight awaits in every corner.

Don’t forget to don your finest east meets west couture. This is an enchanting evening not to be missed!
