Introducing BierCraft

on

Stella’s Tap and Tapas Bar and Stella’s Bierstro, home of the best Belgian beer list in Vancouver, announces its plan to rename these restaurants to BierCraft Tap and Tapas Bar and BierCraft Bistro on October 20, 2010.
“The new name reflects what we do best,” says Dean Mallel, owner of Stella’s/BierCraft. Over the last five years, The Incendio Group has opened new restaurants, launched critically acclaimed menus often based on local food, and developed plans to provide more neighbourhood bistros. “All of this is built around our Belgian and craft beer offerings.”

Though there’s also an extensive wine list, beer underpins every part of what they do. “Every menu item can be paired with beer, which often surprises people. There’s so much variety and taste out there.”

Stella’s/BierCraft has the longest list of Belgian beers in the province, and generates more sales of them than any other establishment in British Columbia.

The name change was sparked by a trademark dispute (not with Stella Artois), but quickly became about rebranding the restaurants to reflect their identity, growth and change.

Stella’s/BierCraft invites people to celebrate the launch of the new BierCraft on Oct 20th & 21st, and enjoy a pint of Carlsberg on tap for only $3.00. Since beer is their craft, BierCraft knows Carlsberg was founded by J. C. Jacobsen and named after his son Carl. The new fall menus will also be launched, featuring the best in fresh local and seasonal items Vancouver has to offer.
