2011 Sauvignon Blanc – $20
2010 Cabernet Franc 297184 $26.90 - 300 cases are produced annually from the estate vineyard. The remaining is used in the blends.
2007 Merlot 265231 $24.90 – Only small quantities are produced as a varietal. The Merlot is more important to the blends to give them mid-palate depth and softness. In some years, this wine is only available through the winery.
2008 Cabernet Sauvignon 111633 $39.90 - There can be as many as three different bottling of Cab Sauv. The estate always produces at least 200 cases as a varietal. The Bear and Two Hoots are predominantly Cab. Sauv. Blends.
2008 Two Hoots 567917 $24.90- A Cabernet/Merlot blend specifically produced and priced for daily consumption. Although there are many reasons for the name Two Hoots, the main reason is to honour the return every year of the Great-Horned Owls to nest on the Fairview property. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is fashioned to make the wine available to drink within 3 years of production yet be able to hold in the bottle for upwards of 10 years. Of course this varies with vintages.
2007 Madcap Red 11304 $26.90 – This Merlot based blend is the answer for those of you that prefer Merlots. Quantities of both Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are blended to add some depth and complexity to the Merlot.
2007 The Bear 111625 $34.90 Previously called “The Bear’s Meritage” this is part of the “Premier Series” wines (along with the higher end Cabs). A blend of five of the classic Bordeaux cultivars (Cab. Sauv., Merlot, Cab. Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot) with Cabernet Sauvignon being at least 50% of the blend, sometimes reaching as high as 75% of the blend in exceptional Cab. years. The best barrels are always chosen for this wine, with the Cab. Sauv. grapes usually coming from a later picking to add to the complexity. The wine is stored for longer periods of time in the barrel. (anywhere from 14 to 20 months) The time “on the skins” is usually longer, again to achieve higher extraction from the skins.

Ortega 2010 – Silver Medal – NWWS
Try our new release fermented in an Alsatian style and holds a complex aroma of citrus, peach, gooseberry, and tropical fruits with hints of honey and vanilla. It showcases the local terroir and is a crisp, complex, flavourful wine with lively acidity. This is a grape that is predominantly grown on the island; therefore, unique to the island and getting known rapidly.
Ortega is the name of the varietal. It was created in 1948 by Hans Breider in Wurzburg and released with varietal protection in 1981. Breider chose to name the variety in honour of the Spanish poet, philosopher and winelover Jose Ortega y Gasset. it has a sweet aroma but finishes and tastes dry. This is crisp and refreshing wine that goes well with mushroom and oysters. But, also try it with fish and chips or macaroni and cheese. Very subtle!
Pinot Gris 2010 – Silver Medal – NWWS SOLD OUT
Luscious and mouth filling with just the right amount of balance between rich tropical, citrus and apple flavours and aromas ornamented by vanilla and caramel highlights. This wine is unoaked. This year even a small hint of peach. A short skin contact has enhanced the mouth feel and results in a beautiful hint of salmon color. Enjoy it with the sunshine lighting up that color! Full and smooth on the palate with loads of fruit flavours that continue through a long, tangy citrus finish. This wine has won 3 gold medals in 4 years. It goes well with so many foods, such as spicy prawns, sushi and fried chicken.
Robin’s Rose 2010
Robin’s Rose is a special wine named after our daughter Robin. Handle with care; roses are known to have thorns. This Rose, made from the Pinot Noir grape, has a beautiful soft French Rose color and full of flavour. The aromas feature strawberry, butterscotch and just a light hint of pepper.
This is a crisp refreshing rose that dances on your palate with good body. Perfect on the patio or try this with our Westcoast Dungeness Crab or Lobster. Rose wines have all the added benefits of red wines.
Pinot Noir 2009 – Silver Medal – NWWS
This Pinot seems to be recognized as one of the best reds on the island and exceptional. Four medals out of 5 years, including 2 gold. This wine has been oaked in 3 oaks, primarily French, then Hungarian and American. It was our best harvest year for grapes and combining Mother Nature with the winemaker’s talents, we think so far this our best ever!
Everyone also comments on the fantastic aromas. It has a wonderful lingering aroma and finishes off with a hint of butterscotch. It has the fruit but also hints of cloves and pepper. Great now and will only get better with each month! The pinot noir is a red that is very versatile and goes with everything. Vancouver Island red wine grapes are now winning awards because the style is very similar to the cool climate wines in Europe, such as Northern France. Taste what is true to the region and local. Cheers!
Wild Blackberry 2010
Silver Medal – All Canadian Wine Championships
Our most popular item out of the winery! Unleash the true aroma and flavour of the wild blackberry bursting with unoaked wild blackberries. This is our “WOW” factor.
This is a sweet wine but has a dry finish. Very unique and versatile as a sherry-style or port-style. Before dinner, try this with pates and gamey meats, such as venison and bison. The hard cheeses such as stilton and blue cheese are fantastic.
After dinner, try this by pouring over fruit or ice cream. For the best taste sensation, we would recommend chocolate. The chocolate melts on the mouth for that sensual texture and blackberry flows over the tongue for that wonderful synergy!
Rocky Creek’s Wild Blackberry wine has consistently won the best blackberry at competitions, including international awards in California. So far, it is still the highest medal awarded to a blackberry dessert-style wine. It wins every year…simply THE BEST! “they make superlative blackberry wine.”
Katherine’s Sparkle 2009
Katherine’s Sparkle is a special wine named after our daughter Katherine. This wine has a crisp, fruity finish—“a real crowd pleaser”. It has traditional bubbles produced in the methode classique. It has the wonderful aroma of the gewürztraminer and taste of Bacchus. It is elegant and matches with so many foods. Sparkling should be enjoyed regularly, not just for special occasions. Try sparkling with popcorn or chips!
Jubilee 2010 NEW!!
This year we created something new. We are doing another sparkling. Sparkling is enjoyed by many countries regularly to start off the palate. So, don’t just wait for special occasions.
The bubbles are traditional methode classique. This blush is made with Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir which gives lots of fresh raspberries and strawberries on the nose. It has a creamy palate of fruit and hints of rose petals with a dry, slightly mineral finish. Since blush wines have all the health benefits of red wines, our sparkling rose wine is not only good to taste, but also healthy. Some food suggestions are popcorn, brie cheese or prosciutto and chocolate covered berries.
#1-2287 Ward Road, Kelowna, BC
The View Winery is on a piece of property that has been in the Turton/Ward family for 5 generations. Historically, apples were grown on the property. In the mid 1990’s a transition began and orchard rows were replaced with vines. Spartans and McIntosh gave way to Gewurtzraminer, Ehrenfelser, Optima and Pinotage.
In 2006, plans began to make our own premium wines and the beloved old packinghouse built by Great Granddad Ward in 1922 was transformed into a winery. In our first year we made 500 cases comprised of Gewurztraminer 2007 and Pinotage 2007.
A few years later with several awards to its name, The View Winery is off to a strong start. This year, we will bottle approximately 1,500 cases including Dry Riesling, Gewurztraminer, TBA Select Late Harvest Optima, Pinotage Reserve and Stiletto, a port style fortified wine. The Distraction Rose which was a runaway success last year is back along with a Sparkling new counterpart in our new Distraction Frizzante 2010.

Black Cloud Winery – Remuda Vineyard, Okanagan Falls
Black Cloud is the brainchild of Township 7’s award-winning wine maker Bradley Cooper and his wife Audralee Daum. Together, they are producing hand-crafted, limited-edition Pinot Noir for a select market. Wine making in this style is nicknamed “les garagistes” in some circles; each wine is allowed to define itself in a more natural expression of the grape. Black Cloud’s first wine was the 2006 Pinot Noir, hand-picked in Okanagan Falls and carefully fermented to extract the full power of the grape. Our story: In 2008, a series of events left their consulting business holding over 250 cases of premium Pinot Noir that Brad had made for a client who went broke. This ‘black cloud’ event was their chance to find the ‘silver lining’ and turn things around to begin fulfilling their dream of having their own winery.
