Sitting on our seaside patio eyes toward the low-slung harvest sun, we raise our glasses in salute to our family, our friends and our city. The flash of a sun-kissed shoulder shrugged in resignation of the longer shadowed nights makes us laugh and pour more wine. We talk of sunflowers heavy with seed and the sweet smell of echinacea, purple petals drooping toward the earth. We turn our thoughts to the glorious rooty textures and sweet earthy scents of harvest time.
This month’s Chef’s menu holds true to the season inspired by curling vines, smoky flavors, secret mushroom groves… colors in golds, greens & reds…

As we clink our glasses and watch the last deep golden rays slip beyond the horizon we ease our chairs back for one more deep breath, one more laugh, one more tall tale.
