(Vancouver, BC) – West Coast Fishing Club’s annual Culinary Adventure, hosted by Chef David Hawksworth and friends (including some of Canada’s finest chefs and talented wine experts), celebrates both a grand finale in a record-breaking fishing season and a once-in-a-lifetime gastronomic experience.

Held at the Clubhouse, amidst the dramatic and pristine setting of Queen Charlotte Islands, this year’s unique adventure will feature nightly dinners from celebrated chefs; David Hawksworth (Hawksworth at the Hotel Georgia); Vikram Vij (Vij’s and Rangoli); Dino Renaerts (Diva at the Met) and the Clubhouse’s own chef Ryan Stone (Bocuse D’Or 2011 competitor). Mark Davidson (Sommelier and Wine Educator) and Scott Oliver (Select Wine Merchants) will present perfect wine pairings to accompany the feasts. Together, this culinary powerhouse will also be offering a range of cookery classes, wine tastings and spirit seminars ensuring delicious dining is produced from their prized catch, on their return home.

Allowing ample time to hone their fishing techniques, the West Coast Fishing Club Culinary Adventure offers a grand finale to a record-breaking season. Last month saw the largest Chinook salmon ever caught by a guest at the Clubhouse, weighing in at a colossal 76.6lbs.   Thanks to the highly advocated “Catch and Release” program, encouraged by the West Coast Fishing Club guides, this monster fish was released back into the ocean, a viable prize for subsequent guests until the close of the season.
