Senova Has New Owners

It is with mixed emotions that Manuel Ferreira announces the sale of his restaurant Senova. September 28th, Roger and Nacimce Rasiah take possession of Kerrisdale’s favourite dining spot. Plans at this time are to keep the restaurant name and concept the same, with the talented kitchen and front of house remaining. Ferreira continues at the helm of the famed Le Gavroche with an eye to future projects.

Says Ferreira; “It was my dream to open Senova and introduce fine Portuguese cuisine to Vancouver and the success of Senova attests to that. I believe the Rasiahs will continue to provide a welcoming neighbourhood venue and I wish them all the best. To my loyal and valued customers, I say thank you but not goodbye – please come visit me downtown at Le Gavroche.”

Home-grown champions accented by traditional flavourings and spices, fills the culinary coffers of Senova Restaurant.  Located in Kerrisdale, just outside the inner city’s madness, the restaurant boasts the comfort cuisine of sun.  Join us and see why Senova was named Best Other European Restaurant at the 18th Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. We choose Senova because it was close to a concert we were attending, there was a coupon, & the menu looked interesting. The food was awful!! a butter lettuce salad for $7 big bucks, lettuce/tomato with NO flavour/flakes of apple. A canneloni that was tasteless, the food was horrible!! Do not go there and waste your money. The service was poor to ok because there was not enough help. What a dissapointment!
