Similkameen BBQ King

July 11th is the Similkameen BBQ King celebration. Enjoy an extraordinary evening with award-winning wines from Similkameen wineries and cider members and dishes from the distinguished chefs who are vying for the title of Similkameen BBQ King 2015. This truly unique Similkameen wine and food experience is a competition where  featured chefs will create unique dishes for you using organic ingredients from local farmers in the heart of Canada’s organic capital.

The 2015 Similkameen BBQ King is on Saturday, July 11th from 5-9pm at the Historic Grist Mill & Gardens in Keremeos. This event is a partial fundraiser for the Grist Mill and includes a silent auction.

After you enjoy each dish, you will get the opportunity to cast your vote for the the best wine and food pairing of the night for both the Similkameen BBQ King competing chefs and the small bites competing chefs!

John Rousseau and Paul Henbury from The River Line and They Them Theirs and Wild Organic Humans will entertain you!

This is a safe ride home event. Shuttles available throughout the Okanagan and Similkameen.

Accommodations:

If you are looking for accommodations in the area, there are a limited number of campsites available at the Grist Mill. There are also B&B’s and guest houses in the area including our Associate Members Harvest Moon Guest House, Klippers Guest Suites and Tree to Me. Walnut Beach Resort and Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos are also beautiful resorts in easy driving distance to the event.

Wine Glasses:
Thanks to the generous support of Valley First, everyone in attendance will leave with a beautiful wine glass, co-branded with the Similkameen Wineries Association and Valley First logos.
