Announce Steak Month at Hamilton Street Grill – Twelve Years, Twelve Dollars!

Twelve years ago, and as one of just a handful of restaurants, Chef Neil Wyles and his wife Joan Harvie opened the Hamilton Street Grill.

At the time there were five restaurants in the revitalized district of Yaletown. The Yaletown Brewing Company, De Niro’s, Capone’s, The Century Grill and Hamilton Street Grill. Of those five, four remain today. Now there are 43 eating establishments in Yaletown, 27 of those full service and fine dining and 18 deli’s, pastry shops and fast food. Since opening Hamilton Street Grill has expanded twice, as have Neil and Joan’s own family with son Matthew and daughter Hayley.

Neil, an affable, well liked chef and business owner, and well respected peer, has been a hands-on chef the entire time. Cooking every day, running the restaurant, changing the light bulbs and taking care of the guests all things that have helped him develop and keep loyal relationships with his customers.

Last year Neil and a business partner built a Dairy Queen at 43rd and Fraser, a business that does not require the same hands on style of running, but still, a business that very much benefits from Neil’s high standards of food quality, service and business operations. Although operating behind the scenes there, he can quite often be spotted enjoying an ice cream with his family in the dining room.

To celebrate their 12th Anniversary at Hamilton Street Grill Neil and Joan have invited all the regulars back, and have extended the invitation to the general public, to enjoy a steak special, better priced than even 1997.

For the month of June (including Father’s Day) – enjoy an 8 oz. Certified Angus™ Sirloin steak grilled to order, just the way you like it, with garlic smashed potatoes and market fresh vegetables For just $12. Twelve Years, Twelve Dollars!
