<p><strong></strong>Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver&#8217;s, Diva at the Met, has introduced the Power Lunch. Designed for those who lack the time to linger over lunch, this four-course set menu is served in its entirety while staying true to the refined and creative cuisine for which Diva is known.<br />
Diva&#8217;s new four-course Power Lunch menu changes twice weekly, offering a soup, appetizer, a choice of two main courses, plus dessert, all brought to the table at the same time, and for just $28.</p>
<p>&#8220;The Power Lunch offers guests the opportunity to entertain business clients over a full lunch without having to commit to a couple of hours out of the office,&#8221; says the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver&#8217;s Executive Chef, Hamid Salimian. &#8220;Because the menu is changed at least a couple of times throughout the week, it allows us to make sure that we&#8217;re offering creative dishes that reflect what&#8217;s in season and currently inspiring us in the kitchen.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Power Lunch is available on weekdays from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. All four of the menu&#8217;s components are arranged on one tray and brought to the table at the same time, eliminating any wait between courses. A sample menu would include roasted yam soup to start, an albacore tuna taco appetizer, pork cheek confit as a main course, and chocolate mousse layer cake for dessert.</p>
<p>This year marks Diva at the Met&#8217;s 15th anniversary. In recognition of the occasion and the restaurant&#8217;s influential role in Vancouver&#8217;s culinary progression, the Div[a]ine Evolution event was held on March 10, 2011, bringing back all of the restaurant&#8217;s former executive chefs for a dinner to celebrate Diva at the Met&#8217;s culinary journey, and the impact Diva has had on the city&#8217;s dining scene through mentoring a generation of young chefs.</p>

<p>In addition to their $10 soup &amp; sandwich (or beer &amp; sandwich) deal, The Corner Suite is offering up a new lunch menu of four starters, four mains and two desserts. Lunchtime starters include a <em>liver paté</em>, <em>terrine de campagne</em>, <em>organic green salad</em> or <em>soupe du jour</em>; mains include a <em>tuna niçoise salad</em>, <em>house-made gnocchi</em>, a <em>catch of the day</em> and <em>steak et frites</em>; and a daily dessert special and sorbet are available to complete the meal. Nicholas and Emile will be offering up premium espresso and drip coffee, organic teas from The Tea Guy and croissants and pain du chocolat baked fresh daily at 7 and 9 am. Guests can grab a coffee to-go, or relax and have a De Luxe Parisian-style morning in one of The Corner Suite’s famous blue Louis chairs, reading their favourite newspaper or enjoying free Wi-Fi.<br />

When lunchtime arrives, Executive Chef Jason Liezert, is keeping it simple and serving up a daily soup and sandwich offering for a mere $10 – available for dine-in or take-out. <p><a href="http://r.tl/">r.tl</a> will offer lunch specials starting from $3 conveniently served take-away style from 11:30am until 3pm daily  featuring a selection of pintxos (pronounced <em>pin-cho</em>) which are bite-size gourmet sandwiches typically eaten at bars and are traditional in northern Spain &#8211; especially popular in the Basque country and Barcelona. To accompany this, <a href="http://r.tl/">r.tl</a> will have a selection of fresh salads as part of this convenient package. The restaurant will be set up deli-style to facilitate swift service for guests who want to grab and go in order to experience Yaletowns other attractions.</p>
<p><a href="http://r.tl/">r.tl</a> returns to full dinner service featuring BC Coastal Cuisine with a well-priced <strong>3-course menu </strong>for<strong> </strong>only<strong> $45</strong> and special late night menu to compliment new extended hours from 5 &#8211; 2am daily.</p>
<p><strong>THE FOOD</strong>  Described as being like traditional Spanish tapas, only better  pintxos are fresh snack-style sandwiches held together with a pincho (Spanish for small spike or toothpick). <a href="http://r.tl/">r.tl</a> will offer patrons a combo selection of pintxos per order accompanied by choice of salad for only $10 (drink not included).</p>
