The Craft of Cointreau mixology competition

November 6th at 5pm – Fairmont Pacific Rim, 1038 Canada Place, Vancouver BC

The Craft of Cointreau mixology competition is coming back to Vancouver for a second edition on November 6th. Open to the public, the event will take place at the Pacific Rim’s Lobby lounge. A complimentary Cointreau cocktail will be served upon arrival, along with passed canapés by the Fairmont. DJ Dominic will be on-hand to provide music and entertainment during the competition and for the after-party.

Twelve contestants will have 5 minutes to prepare their submitted recipe and impress our 3 judges led by Jay Jones. After the judges have tasted the cocktails, 2 finalist bartenders will be selected. The final challenge will consist of a head-to-head competition between the 2 finalists where they will be asked to present 3 Classic Cocktails featuring Cointreau. The cocktail that best meets the judge’s criteria will be declared champion and the winner will receive the opportunity to attend the Cointreau Académie, an intensive program about history, heritage, elaboration process and mixology held in Angers and Paris.
