The Uncommon Cookie Class: Decorate & Bake

Learn To Decorate Like A Pro With The UnCommon Cafe Cookie Class

How are your baking skills?  I do an okay job of baking, but when it comes to icing, my game ain’t so strong. Last year, though, I surprised myself and after a bit of a demo from some more experienced bakers in the Uncommon Cafe Cookie Class, I managed to come up with some cookies that I wasn’t totally embarrassed to give out! Now if you have a bit of skill, just think what you could do! No judgement please, I’m just learning.

This year the  Cookie Class: Decorate & Bake is happening  both on Sunday December 3rd and on Wednesday December 13th,  and is $45 a ticket. The classes are hosted by French baker Valentine Kitamura of Tartine & Maple, an excellent teacher.

Those dates don’t work for you? Remember when those old school cookie swaps happened? Get your peeps together and organize a friend’s night of cookie decorating at The Uncommon Cafe. Minimum 6 people and you can even BYOB. Leave with lots of cookies for giving!

“After the success of last year’s sold our classes we had to do this again. It was so fun for us to watch other people’s decorating!” said Lisa Leimanis, owner of The Uncommon Cafe “Cookies just make people happy, so what better way to spend some time with people than over cookies!” she added.
