Loved this show! I don’t follow Games of Thrones and still could not stop laughing. DO IT!

Info: Vancouver TheatreSports™ League (VTSL) presents Throne and Games, until May 30. An elimination comedic improv format created by VTSL veteran performer, Graeme Duffy, Throne and Games is inspired by HBO’s wildly successful Game of Thrones and the book series it is based on, George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire.

An improvised parody, Throne and Games is filled with betrayal, death, eliminations, unlikely alliances, and above all, humour. During each show, three improv “families” (teams of VTSL performers putting their spin on Game of Thrones characters) will descend on the Iron Throne of Games and try to claim it for their own. Each team will do their best to oust their competitors in a series of classic improv games, customized to each family. At the end of the show, only one character will remain to rule the kingdom.

Each night, the audience will play a supporting role by providing suggestions to advance the onstage action. For Throne and Games, the audience will be referred to as “The Old Gods and The New,” and will also decide which characters are eliminated.

Michael got to sit upon the throne and the stage!
