Step it up a notch at the new Beginner Terrain Park

Silver Star Mountain Resort’s new Beginner Terrain Park is the perfect place to first experience the thrill of the terrain park with small jumps and rails. Not normally found at most ski resorts, the Beginner Terrain Park is crafted in Silver Star family-friendly manner for all to enjoy. The smaller version of its bigger cousin, the Telus Terrain Park, the Beginner Terrain Park promises fun for everyone from ages 6 through 60.

Deck the Halls! Silver Star’s Celebrates 12 Days of Christmas

Set in the charming snow covered village of Silver Star Mountain; there is no better place to start the holiday season. The new 12 days of Christmas Celebration at Snowbird Lodge starts December 14 and runs right up to Christmas Day. Each night in Club Snowbird, Pepper Minstix — Silver Star’s very own Christmas Elf — reads favorite Christmas stories to children; enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate and cookies by the fireplace; watch a family holiday movie (rated PG) in the 24-seat theatre and enter the children Christmas coloring contest. In addition, there will be a different Christmas activity each night that will be fun for the whole family.

Family-friendly Terrain Park Opens at Silver Star

Silver Star Mountain Resort will introduce its new Snowcross Course this 2010/2011 season. The fun, family-oriented course incorporates rollers, bumps and so much more. The terrain park is the perfect place for Dad to challenge the kids to a fun-filled race to the end!

2011 Sparkling Hill Masters World Cup of Cross Country Skiing

From March 3 through 11, 2011, the Sovereign Lake Nordic Club will be hosting the World Masters of Cross Country Skiing for skiers 30 years of age and above. Attracting over 1,400 racers from over 20 countries, this exciting event sees racers competing in either classic and/or freestyle ski races ranging from five to fifty kilometers in length. Rated “Number One Nordic destination in North America” by Forbes Magazine, Silver Star offers something for all levels of skiers. Silver Star track sets more than 60km/37mi of trail daily with 4km/2.5mi of lit track for night skiing.
