I&#8217;ve come to find that <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.terrabreads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Terra Breads<\/a> has my favourite buns. \u00a0They&#8217;ve got just the amount of spice, raisins and are topped with a generous cross of icing. \u00a0Toast them up and top with butter and jam, or just warm slightly and eat plain as there&#8217;s plenty of flavour in the buns alone.<\/p>\n<p>For those interested in the more than just eating the buns, I&#8217;ll note their historical significance. They are eaten on\u00a0Good Friday in Christian households with the\u00a0cross\u00a0stands stands for the\u00a0Crucifixion. The buns went through a black period when Protestant England banned the sale of them as they saw them as they stood for a symbol of Catholic belief. \u00a0Sharing a bun with another promotes friendship, especially if one says \u00a0&#8220;<em>Half for you and half for me, Between us two shall goodwill be&#8221;, <\/em>and many kiss the hot cross buns before eating, just like a cross.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway you slice them, they&#8217;re a tasty treat that I miss once Easter&#8217;s over. \u00a0Available at Terra Breads until April 9th!<\/p>\n<p><a
