Tracey\u2019s competition in the Savoury Snacks category was Chantal Bekhor<\/a> (Cote St.-Luc, QC) with her Mahbooz Date Cookies<\/a> and Dianne Tynes<\/a> (Pointe Claire, QC) with her Glazed Lemon Pecan Cookies<\/a>. \u00a0The three finalists competed in a series of challenges that evaluated their recipes\u2019 taste, quality, commercial viability and the entrepreneurial prowess of a potential product launch.<\/p>\n

Hosted by former The Bachelor <\/em>star Jesse Palmer<\/a>, the competition is judged by a panel of experts including Laura Calder<\/a>, host of French Food at Home<\/a><\/em>; Tony Chapman<\/a>, Founder and CEO of leading advertising agency Capital C; and Dana McCauley<\/a>, Culinary Director at Janes Family Foods. Making a special appearance as a weekly guest judge is Galen Weston, Executive Chairman of Loblaw Companies Limited.\u00a0 The winners of each category will receive a $25,000 cash prize and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for their recipe to be developed into a President\u2019s Choice<\/em>\u00ae brand product available in select Loblaw banner stores across the country. Each week, Canadians will have the chance to sample category winners\u2019 products in-store. After all category winners have been determined, it\u2019s up to Canadian viewers to vote for the best of the best.\u00a0 Food Network will air a marathon recapping all seven episodes on December 5th<\/sup>, and voting will open on recipetoriches.ca<\/a><\/strong> at 12:01 a.m. ET on December 5<\/strong> and close at 4:59 p.m. ET on December 7.\u00a0 During the exciting December 12th<\/sup> finale, viewers will witness who will take home the $250,000 grand prize \u2013 the largest cash prize in Canadian reality television history.<\/p>\n
