Tradex Christmas comes early with the West Coast Christmas Show. \u00a0Since we have the use of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ford.ca\/cars\/fusion\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ford Fusion <\/a>this week, we dressed up the car and drove out to launch ourselves into Christmas mode.<\/p>\n<p>Dairy Farmers of Canada (for whom I am an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dairygoodness.ca\/cheese\/all-you-need-is-cheese\/promotions\/social\" target=\"_blank\">ambassador<\/a> right now) was out there teaching shoppers all about Canadian Cheese<a href=\"http:\/\/www.annaolson.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">, Anna Olson<\/a> was on stage with holiday baking tips (check out my interview with her<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zSs0xG4_90o\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0here<\/a>) and BBQ Master <a href=\"http:\/\/www.houseofq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Misko<\/a> partnered with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnstons.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Johnston&#8217;s Pork <\/a>to teach us how to make simple pork-themed appies.<\/p>\n<p>There were a few junky booths with nick-knacks that no one really needs, but there was also a lot of really good locally made items that would be great for hostess gifts or in your kitchen to liven up your holiday cooking. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetthea.com\/product-category\/family-favourites\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Sweet Thea<\/a> had spectacular stolen, plum puddings and immaculately decorated gingerbread, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teasparrow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tea Sparrow<\/a> was sampling lovely tea and you could sign yourself or someone else up for their tea club, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.farmhousecheeses.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Farmhouse Cheese<\/a> had their Agassiz-made cheeses on hand for sale.<\/p>\n<p>I would have liked to have seen some seasonal foods for sale for purchase and immediate consumption like at the <a href=\"http:\/\/vancouverchristmasmarket.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vancouver Christmas Market<\/a> (I was craving bratwurst) as the concession food could definitely be improved upon. \u00a0We should have stopped at <a href=\"http:\/\/yolks.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Yolks<\/a> on the way out as I initially had planned.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/goodlifevancouver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_13681.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"23070\" few checks off our holiday shopping list, a tiny Christmas Tree and enjoyed the drive in the Ford Fusion which we were loaned for the week and will miss greatly upon it&#8217;s return tomorrow.
