Here is the scoop from Chef Duncan Ly from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yellowdoorbistro.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Yellow Door bistro<\/a>\u00a0at The Hotel Arts in Calgary. \u00a0He&#8217;s in Kelowna this year back at it for the second visit since I met him there in 2012. \u00a0Best of luck Duncan!<\/p>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 13px;\">What was your first food memory?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Waking up on a Saturday morning and smelling the aromatics of a pho broth that my mom had been simmering all morning.<\/p>\n<p><b>What was in your elementary school lunch kit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ham and cheese sandwich, apple, cookie and juice box.<\/p>\n<p><b>Where did you first learn to cook?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In Tofino at the Wickanninish Inn.<\/p>\n<p><b>Did you attend culinary school \u2013 if so, where? <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Did a 3 year apprenticeship during which time I attended Vancouver Community College (VCC).<\/p>\n<p><b>Where has been your favourite place to work to date and why?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>I love them all!
