On\u00a0<strong>Friday, May 30, 7:45pm<\/strong>, local contenders\u00a0<strong>Vikram Vij<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ned Bell,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jackie Ellis<\/strong>\u00a0of Beaucoup Bakery will battle it out on the Food Network Celebrity Stage. The competitors will have 20 minutes to use a mystery ingredient in their dish, judged by last year\u2019s Throwdown winner, Rob Feenie. Only one chef will win!<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">While indulging in over 250 mouth-watering exhibitors, EAT! Vancouver attendees can also travel the world with chefs on the\u00a0<strong>Flavours World Stage<\/strong>\u00a0and explore culinary travel destinations at the\u00a0<strong>World Culinary Travel Expo<\/strong>. Beer and wine connoisseurs can listen to and explore pairings and tastings with culinary and mixology experts on the\u00a0<strong>Sips Stage<\/strong>, and The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) returns with their popular\u00a0<strong>Culinary Classes,<\/strong>\u00a0where the public can channel their inner master chef with help from the school\u2019s instructors.<\/p>\n<p>The ever-popular\u00a0<strong>Bites<\/strong>\u00a0area will feature mouthwatering dishes from a selection of local restaurants, and the adults can sip new offerings from wine, beer and spirits vendors in the\u00a0<strong>Sips<\/strong>\u00a0area.\u00a0<strong>Dairy Farmers of Canada<\/strong>\u00a0will again present\u00a0<strong>Cheese Seminars<\/strong>, educating the public on how to best prepare and experiment with different Canadian cheeses.<\/p>\n<p>More than 40,000 visitors are expected to attend over the three-day weekend. Tickets are $17 for adults ($14 online), $15 for seniors ($14 online), and $9 for youth aged 13-16.
