\"IMG_3697\"If you’ve visited Malaysia in the last ten years you are bound to have run into PappaRoti, a buttery and coffee-caramel coated bun. The PappaRoti Cafe’s <\/a>now number 400 worldwide; the first location recently opened on Canada down towards the end of Robson Street.<\/p>\n

So what are these buns all about? Well they sound sweeter than they taste, which, in this case, is a good thing. They are soft on the inside, crisp on the outside and filled with a buttery centre. Toppings for these snacks include maple syrup, ice cream, caramel chocolate, nutella, whipped cream, strawberry and banana; rotis are perhaps \u00c8the new crepe\u00c8. I actually preferred mine with a side of Lebanese cream cheese which pushes it towards the savoury side of treats, a place my taste buds feel more comfortable.

In addition to the freshly made buns, the Robson Street location is serving JJ Bean locally-roasted coffee and Teaja loose-leaf tea, along with a few other well-chosen beverages and some very tasty sandwiches made by East Van’s Kessel & March<\/a>.<\/p>\n
