Are you new to hiking in Vancouver? Wondering what the best day hikes are and which gear you need to bring for your outing?<\/p>\n

If so, Fjallraven \u2013 a Swedish outdoor clothing retailer which recently opened its first Canadian store in Vancouver \u2013 is hosting a community night titled\u00a0Day Hikes Guide for Beginners<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"fjallraven\"<\/p>\n

They’ll\u00a0be presenting the\u00a0top 5 picks for day hikes in the area, along with some basic safety tips and gear considerations. The hikes will cover a variety of difficulty levels (just because you\u2019re a beginner doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t tackle something challenging!) and locations from the North Shore to Pemberton.<\/p>\n

If you want to learn some of the basics about hiking locally, this is a great opportunity. The event is free and it will be a casual evening on July 30th, from 6pm \u2013 8pm. There will be a food truck outside and some goodies as well. Not to forget all the great Fjallraven gear to peruse (I think there may be a summer-end sale going on at the moment as well).<\/p>\n
