Her goal was to bring science and art together to generate discussion about the experience of cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as cancer research and prevention. Having attracted significant media attention over the past few months, the gowns will now be sold to raise money to support the work of the Cancer Prevention Centre, a partnership between UBC and the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, September 23rd, join business and community leaders for a glittering evening of fashion, music, and philanthropy. <strong>Fashioning Cancer<\/strong> \u2013 part of <em>Western Living<\/em>&#8216;s Design Week \u2013 will provide an unforgettable evening of inspiration, education, and entertainment, with Canada&#8217;s Queen of Punk, <strong>Bif Naked<\/strong> \u2013 a cancer survivor, herself \u2013 performing in support of cancer prevention.<\/p>\n<p>Guests will enjoy a cocktail party featuring food by Hawksworth Restaurant, a silent auction of unique items and live auction of the most-talked about, one-of-a-kind dresses.
