Prizes will be awarded to the top three winning dishes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0EMAIL for the registration form\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Vancouver\u2019s Avocado Showdown- July 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT: <\/strong>Create a fun, shareable dish using Avocados from Mexico and enter it in a blind-tasting competition against your fellow BC food bloggers.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DATE: <\/strong>Tuesday July 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2015 (Event start time: 5:30pm)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please arrive at <strong>5:15pm <\/strong>to check-in and set-up your dish.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>LOCATION: <\/strong>Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (101-1505 West 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Avenue, Vancouver BC) at beautiful Granville Island<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avocados from Mexico must be used as an ingredient in the recipe.<\/li>\n<li>The dish must be large enough to serve 8 people.<\/li>\n<li>There will be no preparation equipment (i.e. oven, fridge, microwave) available to use. Please come with your dish ready to be evaluated and served.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Send<\/strong> the following to <strong>Amy Chen<\/strong> amy@townhallbrands.com by <strong>Friday, July 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2015<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Name of your dish.<\/li>\n<li>Recipe, listing all ingredients (for allergy awareness)<\/li>\n<li>One-line description of your dish.<\/li>\n<li>Any allergies or dietary restrictions you have (because we want to give you snacks while your dish is judged)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JUDGING CRITERIA &amp; PROCESS: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upon arrival, you will be randomly assigned a number that corresponds to your dish. Only the event organizer will know who created each dish.<\/li>\n<li>Your dish will be placed at the judging table with a tent card in front that has information about the dish.<\/li>\n<li>When judging begins, judges will walk the tables to evaluate and blind-taste each dish.
