Kwantlen St. Farmers Market launches in Spring 2016. Catch a peak at Kwantlem Polytech in Richmond this Tuesday.<\/h2>\n

Not just another farmers market, the Kwantlen St. Market<\/strong> promises to entice the entire community. On Tuesday, September 8th 2015, from 11am to 3pm, <\/strong>the Kwantlen Student Association (KSA)<\/a>, in conjunction with Farm Fresh Events, will introduce the newest of Richmond events. \u00a0As part of their Welcome Week at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Richmond, the KSA is giving a sneak peek of the proposed Kwantlen St. Market starting Spring 2016. This preview will highlight the KSA\u2019s student services including Sustainable KSA, MultiPass, and KPU programs<\/a>, with the added excitement of a farmers market. The whole community is invited to visit for fresh produce, artisanal products and jewelry, and to take in live entertainment and demos.<\/p>\n

The market will also highlight KPU\u2019s Sustainable Agriculture<\/a> and Farm School programs, education programs for new farmers to learn ecologically sensitive agriculture practices and how to build their own agricultural businesses.\u00a0 The KSA\u2019s Sustainability Coordinator, Mairi Lester, \u201cis thrilled to share a peek of the new market we\u2019re building with students and the community.\u201d<\/strong> Joining the KSA and Farm Fresh Events at the market will be KPU Recreation, KPU\u2019s Student Health 101 program, TransLink\u2019s Compass Card team, and Z95.3.<\/p>\n

The Kwantlen St. Market offers all the goodness of a farmers market, with entertainment, artisan food and crafts and best of all, chef demos using the freshest local produce. Come and sample bites from some top chefs, get cooking tips and recipes, all while supporting local agriculture and businesses.<\/p>\n

About<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kwantlen Student Association<\/strong> represents more than 17,500 students enrolled\u00a0at the four Metro Vancouver campuses of Kwantlen Polytechnic University.\u00a0 The KSA actively seeks to enhance campus life, delivers student services, supports on-campus activities, and provide support for our student members.<\/p>\n

Farm Fresh Events<\/strong> produces the Tsawwassen Saturday Market and the Sunday North Delta Farmer\u2019s Markets, which are known for their artisanal foods, crafts and family friendly markets.
