How have y’all been through the holidays? I’ve found it hard to come back to Vancouver after having so much going on in Kelowna and have been a bit down, and now have a cold! I’ll rally though as I always do, but we still haven’t decided on what, if anything, to do for New Year’s.\u00a0 I’ve been doing a bit of research and here’s some suggestions for Vancouver New Year’s for you. New Year’s Eve <\/strong>British Invasion at<\/strong> The <\/strong>Cascade<\/strong> Room –\u00a0<\/strong>UK-inspired fun, two countdowns and a Sunday Roast!<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Get set for another British-themed New Year’s Eve party at\u00a0The Cascade Room<\/a>. The Main St. restaurant, known for its UK pub vibes, will kick-off the party at 2 pm on Sunday, December 31. Toe-tappin’ tunes from guest DJs, great food and drinks — including UK-inspired cocktail features, and Cascade Room’s friendly team, will ensure a good time is had by all.<\/p>\n

Guests can enjoy bites and drinks from the Happy Hour<\/a> menu, from 2 to 6 pm; the restaurant’s full dinner menu AND Sunday Roast (beef with all the trimmings), from 6 to 10 pm; and a Late Night Menu from 10 pm to 2 am.<\/p>\n

Cascade Room will celebrate TWO New Year’s Eve countdowns — complete with party favours: an honourary UK countdown will take place at 4 pm; the Vancouver countdown will happen at midnight.<\/p>\n

For the second year in a row, Juke Fried Chicken is bringing revelers together to make resolutions and break \u2018em in southern-fried style on New Year\u2019s Day when the Chinatown hotspot hosts its \u2018Cluck Your Resolutions\u2019 event to ring in the new year.<\/p>\n

On Monday, January 1<\/strong>, Juke will help guests bounce back and cure those New Year\u2019s hangovers from noon to 9 p.m. when DJ For The Record<\/strong> gets the joint jivin\u2019 during its second-annual \u2018Cluck Your Resolutions\u2019 celebration, which offers\u00a0an expanded dining room menu of exclusive breakfast selections including \u00a0Jalapeno-Cheddar Waffles and Fried Chicken<\/strong> (2 pieces, $18.5, add smoked sausages +$2.5 or fried egg +$1.5), Andouille Breakfast Sausage Sandwiches<\/strong> ($7), Fried Chicken Sandwiches<\/strong> ($6, add egg +$1.5) and Biscuits with Whipped Schmaltz<\/strong> ($6) as well as an array of housemade cocktails such as signature Juke Caesars<\/strong> ($7), OJ<\/strong> or Grapefruit Mimosas<\/strong> ($9) and local craft beer available by the pint, bucket and bottle.<\/p>\n
