By taking part, the family-friendly video contest encourages participants of all ages (our youngest competitor to date was only <\/span><a style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bettertogetherbc.ca\/contest\/video\/lasagna\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">18 months old<\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> and our with&#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\">Over <\/span><b style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\">335<\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\"> video entries submitted since 2010<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\">Over <\/span><b style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\">$35,000<\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 1.8rem;\"> in cash and in-kind prizes awarded since 2010<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Over<b> 45 towns <\/b>throughout BC represented in the contest, including entries from cities as big as <b>Vancouver<\/b> and <b>Victoria<\/b>, and as small as <b>Enderby<\/b> and <b>Castlegar<\/b>! <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This contest is a tradition that many BC families look forward to each year, and for good reason: <a href=\"https:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamanetworkopen\/fullarticle\/2715616\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new research<\/a> confirms that families that cook together and share meals on a regular basis experience valuable lifelong benefits, such as improved dietary intake and healthier overall eating habits, including higher intakes of fruits and vegetables and lower intakes of fast food and takeout meals for both female and male youths in both high-functioning and low-functioning family environments.<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This year, more than $4,500 of cash and in-kind prizes will be up for grabs, including a grand prize of $1,000 cash, as
