Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia\u00a0Celebrates Iconic BC product at the annualSpot Prawn Festival<\/h2>\n

This delicious festival is the Chefs’ Table Society’s<\/a> annual Fundraiser where you can sample some of the first of the season Spot Prawns, with funds going to the society allowing them to give scholarships to well-deserving folks (our friend and and fellow Dame, Karen Dar Woon just received one to study wine), and to cover their operating costs, allowing chefs to mentor others across the province. We’ve been going for many years and it’s changed lately, so read on to make sure you know what’s what down at the docks.<\/p>\n

There’s now\u00a0THREE<\/strong>\u00a0ways to enjoy it:<\/p>\n

  1. FREE \u2013 access to the docks, view cooking demos and more<\/li>\n
  2. $12 \u2013 10 oz of Chowder \u2013 to go if you want!<\/li>\n
  3. $60 \u2013 Spot Prawn Brunch \u2013 grazing style with a tasting menu of 6 delicious spot prawn dishes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Head down to the docs are before to watch live cooking demos with some of Vancouver’s top chefs, but be sure to get to the cooking stages early as they are well-attended demos! While the festival is free, in order to enjoy any of the delicious food prepared by our chefs, tickets are required.<\/p>\n

    Now, instead of the traditional boil, a delicious bowl of award-winning Chowder from Chef Welbert Choi served with bread from\u00a0Terra Breads will be served.\u00a0<\/a>Tickets for the chowder with a freshly baked bun is $12 a bowl (plus tax and service) and if you want, you can take it to go!<\/strong><\/p>\n
