Purchase Gratitude Wine at Jak’s and $1 goes to the BC Hospitality Foundation<\/h2>\n

Looking for some great wines to drink for a cause? JAK\u2019s Beer Wine Spirits<\/a><\/strong> and collaborative partner, Okanagan Crush Pad<\/a><\/strong>, launch its collaborative, limited release 2021 Gratitude Wine Collection with four new varietals. Chardonnay 2018, Rose 2019 and Red 2019 will be joined by Bubbles 2019 on JAK\u2019s store shelves this June, with $1 from each sale donated to the BC Hospitality Foundation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Gratitude<\/a><\/p>\n

From June 1st to 30th these funds raised will go towards BCHF, a registered charity that supports those in the hospitality facing financial crisis due to a health condition and offers a scholarship program to foster the development of the next generation of hospitality works and industry leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2020, when we first launched our Gratitude wine limited series, we donated a portion of sales to the BCHF and want to continue this partnership,\u201d said Tim Dumas, JAK\u2019s Beer Wine Spirits Chief Operating Officer. \u201cIn what has been a challenging year for many, specifically for the hospitality industry, we felt it was important to show our support for this tireless sector who has been directly affected by the pandemic. For the month of June, we are donating $1 from the sale of every Gratitude wine bottle to the BCHF and want to say thank you to everyone working in this industry who has been there to feed and serve us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Gratitude Wine collection includes Chardonnay 2018, Red 2019, Ros\u00e9 2019 and Bubbles 2019. All bottles have been adorned with whimsical label illustrations from artist Alex Maertz, an illustrator based on the West Coast. Alex loves to use simple shapes, patterns and colours to create an organic feel that connects people with the great outdoors.<\/p>\n

\"Gratitude<\/a><\/p>\n

Gratitude Wine’s Bubbles 2019 Crafted from Pinot Blanc from a 35-year-old vineyard in Okanagan Falls, primary fermentation took place in stainless steel while secondary fermentation occurred in charmat tanks. The wine rested on its lees in tank for 3 months before bottling. A dry style with lush mouth-filling creamy notes.<\/p>\n

Chardonnay 2018 Chardonnay from a vineyard in the south of Oliver aged for two years in neutral oak barriques. Native yeast ferment and full malo-lactic fermentation provides a lush texture balanced by bright acidity. Tropical grapefruit with lemon and granny smith apple characters.<\/p>\n

Ros\u00e9 2019 Made from grapes harvested in Summerland and Oliver vineyards. Gently destemmed with 12 hours of skin contact before lightly pressing and fermenting naturally in concrete tanks. The wine is bone dry, fruit driven, complex, fresh and ripe with sweet berry notes.<\/p>\n

Red 2019 This refreshing red is a blend of Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc, sourced from Summerland and Osoyoos. Fresh and lively with lifted berry fruit, a juicy mid palate texture with excellent weight, and a lengthy finish.<\/p>\n

Gratitude wines are available at all JAK\u2019s locations and online.<\/p>\n
