Mexican Food Elevated at Alimentaria Mexicana<\/h3>\n

News from the newest opening today, Alimentaria Mexicana – GLV<\/p>\n

Mexican-Canadian Chef and Entrepreneur Ernesto Gomez<\/strong> and his team of creative collaborators behind the beloved Chancho Tortilleria<\/strong>, Nuba<\/strong> and former Fayuca<\/strong> are taking guests on an early sensory tour of things to come at the groundbreaking new cultural-culinary experience Alimentaria Mexicana<\/a> by softly opening its cantina and patio in the heart of Granville Island.<\/p>\n

\"alimentaria<\/a><\/p>\n

In partnership with Director\/Partner Darragh McFeely<\/strong> and Chef\/Partner Martin Vargas<\/strong>, Gomez\u2019s latest undertaking occupies the expansive former Edible Canada space and offers an authentic cultural and culinary experience that proudly showcases small farmers, suppliers and artisans from south-of-the-border communities.<\/p>\n

\"alimentaria<\/a><\/p>\n

Now open for dine-in and patio service, the Alimentaria Mexicana soft opening menu<\/a> features an array of dishes including Halloumi & Grilled Cactus<\/em><\/strong>, Sopes with Bone Marrow<\/em><\/strong>, Mushrooms Birria<\/em><\/strong> and Beet Ceviche<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0as well as signature salsas and accompaniments. All menu items are intended to be enjoyed family-style and shared around the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to give our guests a sneak peek into a project that will celebrate the traditions, depth and knowledge of cooking techniques used by communities across Mexico,\u201d says Gomez. \u201cWe\u2019re not cutting any corners and we\u2019re making everything in a traditional way. We can\u2019t wait to take our guests on an immersive journey through my mother country and its rich culinary history, but in a way that\u2019s approachable and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

What comes next will be the realization of the full vision of Alimentaria, with an expanded Cantina menu, the \u2018El Caminero\u2019 take-out window, Fabrica (educational space and tortilleria producing handcrafted artisanal corn tortillas), and Mercado, featuring high-quality, locally and internationally sourced artisanal products, dry goods, textiles, pottery and more. RESERVATIONS<\/strong>
\nDuring the soft opening period, Alimentaria will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. Limited lunch and dinner reservations for the Alimentaria Mexicana cantina are are now available at exploretock.com\/alimentariamexicana<\/a> with walk-ins welcomed on a first-come, first served basis. Please note the patio is available for walk-ins only.<\/p>\n
