Regional Qualifier for The Canadian Culinary Championships, Canada\u2019s Great Kitchen Party<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Vancouver\u2019s chefs are gearing up for the hottest Culinary Competition in the country, Canada\u2019s Great Kitchen Party Vancouver, which will also raise funds to provide Canadian youth the opportunity to be extraordinary in sport, music, and food. Over 17 million dollars has been raised over the past 16 years. Karen Blair, Co-Founder of Canada\u2019s Great Kitchen Party speaks of the organization\u2019s contributions to a variety of charities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2022, we are proud to support three beneficiaries that celebrate and elevate Canadian culture in sport, music and food through youth-focused grassroots initiatives. This year we are once again supporting MusiCounts <\/em>\u2013 a national charity which ensures that music education is inclusive, sustainable and accessible for youth across Canada, Spirit North<\/em>– an organization that uses land and water-based activities to improve the health and well-being of Indigenous youth, empowering them to be unstoppable in sport, school and life, and Fresh Roots <\/em>a Vancouver-based charity that works to transform urban spaces to create thriving neighbourhood gathering places for learning, sharing, and connecting through food.<\/p>\n

ABOUT CANADA\u2019S GREAT KITCHEN PARTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s Great Kitchen Party is a social enterprise dedicated to “Building a Better Canada” through the elevation and celebration of Canadian excellence in the culinary arts, sport and music. Staged in nine cities across the country, each event is a regional culinary competition which qualifies the winning chefs to move on to compete at the Canadian Culinary Championship on February 3 and 4 in Ottawa. The Great Kitchen Party in Vancouver will be the last to be held among the nine competing cities, from St. John\u2019s, NL to Vancouver, BC. Each region\u2019s winning chef will qualify for the Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa, February 3-4, 2022. At the last in-person event and competition, chef Roger Ma of Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar, <\/em>took home the gold medal, not just at Vancouver\u2019s Kitchen Party event in the fall of 2019, but also at the grand finale competition in Ottawa back in January 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Roger Ma being the reigning Canadian Culinary Champion, we know that Vancouver\u2019s chefs are eager to take the top spot on the podium this November and compete to hold on to the title of Canadian Culinary Champion next January in our nation\u2019s capital\u201d said Vancouver Co-Chairs Bryce Davis and Eva Tone of MNP, new presenting sponsor for the project. Added Nancy MacKay, Vancouver Co-Chair, \u201cWith events not taking place in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the appetite is high for Kitchen Party competitions, and we are thrilled to be back this fall with in-person events across the country.\u201d Over 100 chefs from nine regions will compete amongst the best in the country, with the title of Canadian Culinary Champion on the line.<\/p>\n

The Chef Competition is only one exciting aspect of this one-of-a-kind celebration. Vancouver\u2019s Kitchen Party will include an extensive Silent Auction and of course Canada\u2019s Great Kitchen Party\u2019s renowned Live Auction trips to exotic and exciting destinations. Each year, over 600 Canadians from across the country purchase travel experiences at Kitchen Party Live Auctions. Kitchen Party trips are once-in-a-life-time experiences where guests experience great food, wine, entertainment, and activity – whether it be enjoying the cuisine in beautiful Verona, cycling, hiking and wine tours in Malaga Spain or mounting biking and cooking classes in Vietnam – with iconic Canadian musicians, Canadian athletes and Canadian chefs.<\/p>\n
