Competition is Brewing at H2 Kitchen + Bar\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

News from H2 Kitchen + Bar<\/strong> – The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver\u2019s smokehouse restaurant, hosts its inaugural \u2018Battle of the Breweries\u2019 dinner, on March 22 with two decorated contenders in the BC craft beer scene. Vancouver Island Brewing<\/a> and Backcountry Brewing<\/a> will go head-to-head for diners\u2019 votes as they pair brews to complement hearty Southern-inspired dishes presented by Pitmaster and Restaurant Chef Homer Baisa.<\/p>\n

Craft beer enthusiasts in attendance will be treated to a selection of ten sample-sized craft beer pairings (one per brewery, per course). The interactive dining experience asks guests to declare who paired it best, and the winning brewery will be dubbed once the final course is completed.<\/p>\n

The five-course lineup includes:<\/p>\n

Smoked Cheddar + Bone Marrow Croquette – squash romesco\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Smashed Cucumber Salad – spring peas, fris\u00e9e, watercress, fennel, crispy pancetta, micro cilantro, crispy shallots, toasted seeds, Szechuan buttermilk emulsion, citrus vinaigrette<\/em><\/p>\n

The fun kicks off at 6:00pm and ends with a commemorative parting gift which includes brewery swag and gourmet goodies from H2 Kitchen + Bar.<\/p>\n
