It looks polished and distinctly premium with<span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\">out trying to dominate every underground parkade in Vancouver.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>That same philosophy continues inside. The cabin feels calm, uncluttered and carefully considered. After a day spent navigating traffic, deadlines and a calendar that has become unnecessarily ambitious, that sense of calm is genuinely welcome.<\/p>\n<h2>Exterior Design<\/h2>\n<p>The XC60 remains immediately recognizable as a Volvo, with its signature Thor\u2019s Hammer LED headlights, clean body lines and restrained detailing.<\/p>\n<p>Its proportions also work well for city living. The Ultra trim adds a tailored dashboard, a head-up display and Harman Kardon premium audio.<\/p>\n<p>The front seats are supportive and comfortable enough for longer drives, while the panoramic roof helps the cabin feel open and airy. Rear-seat passengers receive useful space, and the upright seating position gives everyone a good view outside.<\/p>\n<p>The cabin also remains impressively quiet. In electric mode, it feels particularly serene around the city, but road and wind noise remain well controlled at highway speeds too.<\/p>\n<p>The Harman Kardon sound system deserves special mention. Whether I was listening to a podcast or turning up my decidedly less Scandinavian playlist, the sound was rich, clear and immersive. Google Maps, Google Assistant and compatible apps are integrated directly into the vehicle, reducing the need to rely on a phone for basic navigation and voice commands.<\/p>\n<p>I still connected my Android phone so I could bring Gemini along for the drive. It has become a useful digital co-pilot for finding destinations, answering questions and occasionally helping me think through article ideas while I am on the road.<\/p>\n<p>The system looks clean and is generally easy to understand, although Volvo has moved many common functions into the touchscreen.
