BEER LOVERS have something to celebrate with the opening of CRAFT

CRAFT 6On November 7 CRAFT BEER MARKET RESTAURANT + BAR  “Where everything’s on tap” opened their doors.

Located on 1st Avenue in the Olympic Village neighbourhood and housed in the historic SALT Building this purveyor of 140 beverages on tap is sure to be a big hit.

The restaurant is impressive in stature. Seating up to 480 patrons when including the mezzanine and the private dining room for up to 25. In summertime add another 50 seats on the outdoor deck.

The design and layout keep the space in perspective with seating areas dispersed about the main floor. Patrons have a choice between sitting at the bar, or in comfortable banquettes, high toppers, booths, and tables.

The keg room is an engineering marvel with almost 4 km of stainless steel and piping that delivers cold brews directly to the massive bar that sits in the center of the CRAFT BEER MARKET RESTAURANT + BAR.

I suspect that CRAFT BEER MARKET RESTAURANT + BAR will prove to be very popular with a diverse clientele from guys or girls night out to family friendly diners it is sure to please.

Featuring an excellent selection of local micro beer and imported beers that are also available as a flight that will change weekly. Brews aren’t the only thing on tap you will also find 10 white wines and 10 red wines.

CRAFT 4CRAFT 5

The menu is extensive and would satisfy almost any appetite.  Most of the menu items are sourced locally with an eye to quality and what is in season with changing daily features. The evening I spent at CRAFT BEER MARKET RESTAURANT + BAR the food was excellent. Some of my favourites were the Tuna Poke, Thai Curry Saltspring Island Mussels, Crab Cake Sliders, and the Proscuitto Arugula Flat Bread.

Check them out in person at 85 East 1st Avenue or online at vancouver.craftbeermarket.ca
