Apex Mountain Resort and the Naramata Bench Wineries Association are pleased to announce the First Wine Festival at Apex Resort aptly named “Vertical & Vintages” Friday March 8 to Sunday, March 10, 2013.
The feature event of this weekend is a Naramata Bench Wine Tasting and Small Plates Dinner on Saturday, March 9, from 7-9 PM, at the Gunbarrel Restaurant and Bar in the heart of the Apex Village. As well there are Hoo Doo Adventures snowshoe events partnered with wineries including a Fireside Dinner with Lake Breeze Vineyards, a Bonfire Lunch with Hillside Winery, and an Aprés Tour Wine and Cheese with Upper Bench Estate Winery.
Twelve Naramata Bench wineries will be pouring their fabulous wines for the Wine Tasting Event: Misconduct Wine Co; D’Angelo Estate Winery; Hillside Estate Winery and Bistro; Lake Breeze Vineyards; Perseus Winery; Poplar Grove Winery; Laughing Stack Vineyards; Therapy Vineyards; Upper Bench Estate Winery; La Frenz Winery; Van Westen Vineyards and Lang Vineyards.
Join Chef Rob Walker at the Saturday Wine Tasting as he creates a variety of small plates to showcase the Naramata Bench wines. After the Wine Tasting event guests are invited to the Gunbarrel Saloon to enjoy dancing to the musical talents of Naramata’s own “UnCorked” as they play the night away.

This looks like a great event. I’ve been skiing at Apex once or twice and I’d imagine this time of year there would still be great skiing. It would make a great day to spend up on the slopes and then down with some wine!
