Sumac Ridge Estate Winery is proud to announce their involvement with this year’s annual Dining out for Life on March 25, 2010, benefitting A Loving Spoonful and Friends for Life, two organizations who provide invaluable services to people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. Held at over 230 restaurants across greater Vancouver, this event is sure to both satisfy the palates of Vancouver’s foodies and the needs of these two amazing charities.

Sumac Ridge Estate Winery is proud to announce their continued support for Vancouver’s Dining Out for Life, a one day event on March 25, 2010. In their second year as a title sponsor of the event, Sumac Ridge is pleased to continue their support. 

Sumac Ridge will donate $1 for every bottle of Sumac Ridge wine sold in the month of March to help support people living with HIV/AIDS. Sumac Ridge is also excited to present the Dining Out for Life grand prize, a “Great Estates of the Okanagan Wine Tour” for two. Valued at more than $1000, the prize will include a two-night stay at the Summerland Waterfront Resort, dinner at Sumac Ridge’s acclaimed Cellar Door Bistro, and specialized VIP winery tours at Nk’Mip Cellars, Inniskillin Okanagan Vintners, Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate, See Ya Later Ranch, and of course Sumac Ridge Estate Winery. This exciting prize is available to diners who participate in Dining Out for Life.

Formed in 1991, Dining Out for Life is organized in 55 cities throughout Canada and the United States. Vancouver’s event benefits A Loving Spoonful and Friends for Life, who provide invaluable services to people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. Last year’s event saw a record number of restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Fraser Valley donating 25% of their sales for the one evening. With over 230 participating restaurants, Friends for Life and A Loving Spoonful received donations totalling over $200,000. Sumac Ridge encourages diners to eat out on March 25 at their favourite participating restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A Loving Spoonful provides free, nutritious meals to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Greater Vancouver and the surrounding areas.
