For this year’s festival, a record-setting 263 restaurants have cooked up set menus at prix fixe prices ($18, $28 and $38) with many featuring BC VQA wine pairings at an additional cost – and an impressive number are brand-new to Dine Out, including Bambudda, Pidgin, Twisted Fork and more.
Every story starts with a reservation, and diners can start building their own Dine Out stories by visiting dineoutvancouver.com, salivating over restaurant menus and making reservations at Vancouver’s impressive array of luxe dining establishments, hideaway cafes and exotic eateries. And be sure to brush up on your Instagramming skills: through the newly revamped Dine Out For a Year contest, diners can submit pictures and videos of their festival experiences via Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Every day of the festival, one entrant chosen by a panel of judges will win a gift certificate to a participating restaurant. At the end of the festival, a Grand Prize winner will be selected among all submitted entries to take home the Big Kahuna: 52 gift certificates to some of the city’s top restaurants.
“Dine Out Vancouver Festival showcases our city’s passion for food and contributes significantly to Vancouver’s reputation as a world-class culinary destination,” said Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson. “It brings families, friends and visitors together over the shared enjoyment of food, and its host restaurants, hotels and events will be an excellent showcase of Vancouver’s vibrant character. I look forward to once again experiencing a taste of the festival firsthand!”
“Food, glorious food! Dine Out is the best time of year to taste the best of Vancouver – and this year is our biggest event ever,” said Lucas Pavan, festival coordinator. “We have a record-setting 263 restaurants, celebrity chef speakers, city-spanning culinary adventures, affordable hotel rooms… the list goes on. I’m thrilled that we have this opportunity to share with the world and each other our city’s amazing dining scene.”
