Herdade Paço do Conde 2007 (Portuguese Red)
PRODUCER – Sociedade Agrícola Encosta do Guadiana
REGION – Alentejo
GRAPES – Aragonez ( Tempranillo) 40%, Trincadeira 40%, Alicante Bouschet 10% and Cabernet Sauvignon 10%
SOIL TYPE – Clay loam.
VINIFICATION – Total removal of the stalk. Fermented in stainless vats under controlled temperature at 26/27ºC. 2 weeks maceration.
AGING – 3 months new French oak, 8 months in stainless vats; 2 months in bottle.
TASTING NOTES – Beautiful Ruby color. Ripe red fruit aromas with light toasted notes, combining in an intense aromatic complexity. In the mouth it shows itself smooth and structured, ending softly, with a lovely warm finish.
