Themed Menu to Cheer on its own Sous Chef Jimmy Stewart
Sous Chef Jimmy Stewart from Whistler’s Bearfoot Bistro made his debut on Monday night as one of the competitors for season two of Food Network Canada’s hit television series, Top Chef Canada. Diners looking to join in on the show’s action can do so each Monday night at the Bearfoot Bistro where Chef Jimmy Stewart together with Executive Chef Melissa Craig have created a weekly three and five course menu that will be served in tandem with the screening of the show.
The Bearfoot Bistro’s Champagne Lounge will be the hub of the excitement on Monday evenings during the series where starting at 7:00pm, a large screen television will air the show. To complement the evening, Chef Jimmy Stewart will be on hand himself together with Executive Chef Melissa Craig serving up a specially created five-course tasting menu worthy of stardom.
Born and raised in North Vancouver, Jimmy completed a culinary degree in Vancouver at the age of 18. With a strong work ethic, Jimmy pushed his way into some of the world’s finest kitchens including the former Lumiere in Vancouver, Gordon Ramsay’s MAZE, the Ledbury in London, England and Colborne Lane and Origin in Toronto. Jimmy eventually made his way back out west to work at DB Bistro for a short stint, and is currently working with the award-winning Executive Chef Melissa Craig at Bearfoot Bistro. At an impressive 23 years of age, Jimmy will be the youngest competitor of the Top Chef Canada series.
