August 5, 2012 – Breaking bread with another person is one of the best and fastest ways to discover who they are—their values, life experiences, and cultural identity.

In 2011, the Salt Spring Literacy Society asked: what happens when you break falafel, bruschetta, tapas, or pâtisserie?

The International Food Festival is an annual community event designed to promote multiculturalism and raise awareness of the ESL community on Salt Spring Island, all through a fun community event oriented around something the whole world loves: food!

Along with our wonderful vendors—each representing a national cuisine—there will be worldly entertainment in the form of live music, dance, and more.

So please, come break bread with us on August 5th, 2012, as we celebrate our second annual event!
